Well, we are deploying the first instance of the SuiteDreams Framework tomorrow, to support some DoD functionality. I am really hoping to roll it out via MSI installers. Will let you know what happens...

SuiteDreams Framework 3.0

Tomorrow is my big day to try to convince some of the powers that be, that we need a Framework to develop all our applications in. I have been working on the SuiteDreams Framework 3.0 for about 2 months now and am about 75-80% complete (or ready for it's first usages). I have put together a nice PowerPoint presentation and will walk the atendees through the why we need a Framework, why we need THIS Framework, and where we can go with it in the future. I hope it turns out to be a nice step in my professional career.

SDF Knowledge Base Add On

I have just about completed a Knowledge Base Add On for my SuiteDreams Framework (SDF) and have started a Project Management Add On. Hopefully both will be done within the next week or so. And speaking of which, I am converting the SDF into an application I can use or resell for baseline web applications. Currently the framework only supports Oracle, but I am in the process of making it SQL Server compatible too (might even go the MySql route eventually as well.

SuiteDreams Framework 3.0

I am rebuilding my SuiteDreams Framework using the Web Client Software Factory (WCSF) and so far it is turning out real nice. I have the Framework itself that has all the common controls and functionality like Users, Roles, Applications, etc. As well as having Applications (modules) that install seperately from the Framework itself, but are dependant upon the Framework for the common functionality. I have also created seperate MSI files for each so far and will have seperate ones for each of the Applications within the Framework.

Web Client Software Factory

We've been exploring the Web Client Software Factory lately and what a nice framework to work in. The whole concept of Dependancy Injection is very cool and the idea of a self aware application is fantastic! I really look forward to future releases of this. Watch it, it will take off...
